Category-Wise Annual Income Limits

To be eligible for the PMS 2026-27 session, the annual income of the student's parents/guardian from all sources must not exceed the limits strictly defined below:

BC & EBC Category

For Backward Class (BC) and Extremely Backward Class (EBC) students, the maximum family income limit is ₹ 3,00,000/- (Three Lakhs) per annum.

SC & ST Category

For Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, the maximum family income limit is also ₹ 3,00,000/- (Three Lakhs) per annum.

A2Z Mandatory Documents List

You must upload clear, scanned copies (PDF/JPEG) of the following original documents. Incorrect documents will lead to direct DNO rejection:

  • Aadhaar Card: Name and Date of Birth must exactly match your 10th marksheet.
  • Valid Certificates: Residential (Aawasiya), Income (Aay), and Caste (Jati) Certificates issued by CO/SDO/DM. (Income must be latest).
  • Bonafide Certificate: Strictly required. Must be printed on the College/Institute letterhead with the Principal's signature and seal.
  • Fee Receipt: Current academic year non-refundable fee receipt provided by your college.
  • Bank Passbook: Account must be strictly NPCI (Aadhaar DBT) Mapped. Joint accounts are NOT allowed.
  • Previous Marksheet: Marksheet of the last passed examination.

Step-by-Step Online Application Process

New Student Registration

Click on the designated link for your category (BC/EBC or SC/ST). Enter your Aadhaar number, Mobile, and Email to generate an OTP and register.

Login & Personal Details

After successful registration, an ID and Password will be sent to your mobile. Log in and fill in your Personal, Bank, and Academic details carefully.

Document Upload

Upload the Bonafide Certificate, Fee Receipt, Marksheet, and other caste/income documents strictly within the prescribed size limit (under 400KB usually).

Finalize Application

Preview the entire form. Click on 'Finalize'. Take a printout of the final application and submit it along with hard copies of all documents to your Institute.

Can students studying outside Bihar apply?
Yes, if you are a permanent resident (domicile) of Bihar but pursuing higher education in recognized institutes outside the state, you can apply. Your institute must be registered on the Bihar PMS portal.
Is the Freeship Card mandatory for SC/ST?
For SC and ST students, a Freeship Card is generated if they are applying for full fee waiver schemes. It is important to read the latest notification regarding Freeship card generation before final submission.
My form status shows 'Defective'. What to do?
A 'Defective' status means there is an error in your uploaded documents (e.g., blurred marksheet or incorrect fee receipt). You need to log in to your dashboard, check the 'Remarks' given by the verification officer, re-upload the correct document, and update the form.
Will I get the scholarship if I have a joint bank account?
No. The bank account must be strictly in the name of the student applying for the scholarship. Joint accounts or accounts in the parents' name will lead to transaction failure via the DBT system.
