Complete Guide: e-KYC Process, Installment Status & Registration

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a flagship central sector scheme introduced by the Government of India to provide income support to all landholding farmers' families. Under this scheme, an amount of ₹6,000 per year is transferred directly into the bank accounts of farmers in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. However, the government has now made e-KYC and Aadhaar seeding strictly mandatory to receive the next installments. Read the official guidelines below.

How to complete PM-KISAN e-KYC?

To stop fraudulent transactions, completing e-KYC is mandatory. The government offers three distinct methods to complete this process:

1. Aadhaar OTP (Self)

If your Aadhaar is linked to your active mobile number, you can do it yourself from the PM-KISAN portal via OTP authentication.

2. Biometric (CSC)

If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, you must visit an authorized CSC center to complete e-KYC using your fingerprint.

3. Face Auth (App)

Using the official PM-KISAN mobile app, farmers can also authenticate their KYC by scanning their face via the Aadhaar FaceRD feature.

Who is INELIGIBLE for PM-KISAN?

All landholding farmer families are eligible, EXCEPT those falling under the following exclusion categories:

  • All institutional landholders.
  • Present or former constitutional post holders, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Mayors, or Panchayat Chairpersons.
  • All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is ₹10,000 or more.
  • Anyone who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
  • Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, and Chartered Accountants.

Step-by-Step Guide for Farmers

1

Check Beneficiary Status

Visit the official portal and click 'Know Your Status'. Enter your Registration Number or Mobile Number to check if your latest installment has been credited.

2

Complete e-KYC (OTP)

Click on the 'e-KYC' option on the homepage. Enter your Aadhaar number. Provide the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and click submit.

3

Link Bank with Aadhaar (DBT)

The ₹2000 installment is strictly processed via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Ensure your bank account is Aadhaar seeded. Without this, funds will fail.

4

New Farmer Registration

If you are not enrolled, click on 'New Farmer Registration'. Select Rural or Urban. Enter Aadhaar details and upload your Land Ownership Proof (Khatauni).

Facing e-KYC or Aadhaar DBT Issues?

A vast majority of farmers in rural areas face two major problems: 1) Their mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, making OTP-based e-KYC impossible. 2) Their bank account is not mapped for Aadhaar DBT, causing installments to get stuck.

If you belong to Mainpuri or surrounding villages, you don't need to struggle online. Simply visit our certified Avi Jan Seva Kendra (Avi CSC Point). Our certified operators will complete your e-KYC instantly using a Biometric Fingerprint Scanner. We also check your exact DBT mapping status and help rectify errors so your pending installments are released safely.

Strict Legal Warning & Cyber Fraud Alert

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY: The PM-KISAN portal does NOT ask for any hidden fees, ATM PINs, or Bank Passwords. Beware of fake agents sending SMS/WhatsApp links claiming to "Release Pending PM-Kisan Installment for ₹500". Clicking on unverified links will drain your bank account.
Any individual found circulating fake links in the name of our portal or the Government will be immediately tracked via IP Address and reported to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal under the IT Act, 2000. Legal action will be swift and severe.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why did my PM-Kisan installment fail?
The most common reasons for a failed installment are: 1) e-KYC is pending. 2) Your bank account is not seeded with Aadhaar for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). 3) Land seeding status shows 'No' in your beneficiary status.
How can I do biometric e-KYC?
Biometric e-KYC cannot be done on your personal mobile phone. You must visit an authorized Common Service Center (CSC) where the operator will authenticate your identity using a fingerprint or iris scanner.
What is Land Seeding in PM-Kisan?
Land seeding means the physical verification of your land ownership documents (Khatauni) by the local Patwari/Lekhpal. If your status shows 'Land Seeding: No', you must submit a copy of your Aadhaar, Bank Passbook, and Khatauni to your Tehsil office.
Can husband and wife both get PM-Kisan benefits?
No. Under the scheme's rules, a 'family' is defined as a husband, wife, and minor children. Only ONE member of the family can receive the ₹6,000 benefit. If both claim it, it will be considered fraud, and recovery actions will be taken.
How to find my Registration Number?
On the PM-Kisan portal, go to 'Know Your Status' and click on 'Know your Registration Number'. You can search for your number using either your registered Mobile Number or your Aadhaar Number.
