Voter ID Card Apply Online 2026
Complete Guide: ECI Form 6 | Track Status & Download e-EPIC
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has completely revamped the new Voter ID Card registration process through the updated Voter Service Portal. Any eligible Indian citizen can now apply for a new Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) from their mobile or computer by filling out Form 6. The ECI has also introduced new qualifying dates, allowing 17-year-olds to apply in advance. Read this complete guide to securely register and download your Voter ID online.
Previously, a person had to wait until January 1st to register. Under the new ECI guidelines, there are now four qualifying dates in a year:
Any Indian citizen who has completed 18 years of age on or before the qualifying date can apply. You must be an ordinary resident of your respective polling constituency.
Youth turning 18 by Jan 1, April 1, July 1, or Oct 1 can apply in advance. The EPIC will be generated exactly on the quarter they turn 18.
Documents Required for Form 6
You must upload clear, scanned copies (Max size: 2MB, Format: JPG/JPEG/PDF) of the following documents during online registration:
- Passport Size Photograph: Recent clear photo with a white background showing the full face.
- Age Proof: Aadhaar Card, 10th/12th Marksheet, Birth Certificate, or PAN Card.
- Address Proof: Aadhaar Card (Recommended), Bank Passbook, Indian Passport, or recent Utility Bill (Electricity/Water).
- Relation Detail: Name and Voter ID number (EPIC No.) of a family member (Father/Mother/Spouse) to map your polling booth accurately.

Are Your Forms Getting Rejected by the BLO?
A huge percentage of online Voter ID applications are rejected by the Booth Level Officer (BLO) during verification. The primary reasons include blurry document uploads, files exceeding the 2MB size limit, or mismatching address proofs.
If you want to ensure your name is added to the Electoral Roll without any rejections, citizens of Mainpuri can visit our Avi Jan Seva Kendra (Avi CSC Point). Our expert operators will accurately compress and upload your documents, select the correct polling station, and submit your Form 6 securely. Your physical PVC Voter Card will be delivered to your home by post.
